ABKJ provided engineering consultation services to the Arizona Department of Transportation for removing load and geometric restrictions from a 616’ arch bridge over the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River. The selected alternative was a new 726’ steel arch span constructed adjacent to the existing bridge. ABKJ was responsible for design criteria and procedures, independent design check, and erection concept design and analysis.
