Building 11 Data Center, Redmond, Washington
This 2-story cast-in-place concrete flat slab building provides 76,000 sf of office facilities and a computer center. Special features include a raised computer floor, post-tensioned flat slab, and a concrete moment frame.
Columbia Data Center, Quincy, Washington
This 450,000 sf structural steel data center was designed to N+1 redundancy and built in two phases. The project includes 120,000 sf raised floor computer rooms, isolation slabs for generators and chillers, heavy piping loads and corridors, support for overhead bus ducts, and cable trays and concrete bases for 12 cooling towers.
Northlake Data Center, Chicago, Illinois
ABKJ designed the tenant improvement portion of this 700,000 sf building. Responsibilities included designing the slab-on-grade for the C-Blox area, designing utility spines in the C-Blox bays to service the containers, designing and detailing the north and south generator platforms supporting 27 generators, and designing and detailing Unistrut support grid in the COLO and MDF rooms.
Redmond Ridge, Redmond, Washington
This 45,000 sf upgrade added a new structural steel roof to support 48 air-handling units, added a second level of framing, and included 4,000 sf of electrical mezzanine space. Connection detailing maximized efficiency and helped shorten the construction schedule.
San Antonio Data Center, San Antonio, Texas
This 450,000 sf structural steel data center was designed to N+1 redundancy and built in two phases. Project included 120,000 sf raised floor computer rooms, isolation slabs for generators and chillers heavy piping loads and corridors, support for overhead bus ducts and cable trays and concrete bases for 12 cooling towers. The project incorporated pier foundations to account for expansive soils.
