Divya Ramesh – Manager – Finance & Accounts
After working as a consultant for the Asia Global Center in Bangalore, Divya joined the team at the US headquarters in Seattle in 2015 and has since been the lead manager for corporate accounting, management accounting, financial management, payroll, and compliance management for the ABKJ Group. She also oversees the accounting function for the Asia Global Center.
As an accountant in the A & E industry, she has a firm grasp on what it takes to successfully run project finances starting from the proposal stage, all the way through project closing. She collaborates with the project teams to assist project managers in timely project budget management to control costs and drive results.
Divya is passionate about creating sustainable and cost-effective internal processes that aid reliable documentation, accuracy of information, efficiency and timely compliance.
She has assisted in setting up a new company for the ABKJ group and independently obtained necessary registrations and licenses with various government bodies including the IRS, Washington State Department of Revenue, The City of Seattle and the California Franchise Tax Board.
Her sociable and friendly temperament has helped forge excellent relationships with clients & vendors alike.
Good corporate governance in an ever-changing business environment has been a guiding principle for Divya as she makes day-to-day decisions in discharging her duties as the accounting manager.
When not at her work desk, she can be found painting, baking, hiking, travelling or tucked away in a corner with a good book in one hand and masala chai in another.
Divya’s detail-oriented and analytical mind, extensive experience, coupled with her keen focus on helping solve everyday business problems has helped drive the organization toward its goals. As a professional who understands the tax environments of both, the parent company in the United States as well as the subsidiary company in India, she has been instrumental in formulating international business transactions between the two offices.
