ABKJ Wins GREEN OFFICE Award

ABKJ’s downtown Seattle office has been recognized for its sustainability efforts, earning the GREEN OFFICE Award from Hines Properties.

ABKJ’s sustainability achievements include:
•Composting and recycling more than 50% of our waste
•Converting all employees to LCD flat screen monitors
•Using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified copy paper
•Using flatware made from cornstarch, which biodegrades in 60 days
•Using bottleless water coolers to provide filtered municipal water
•Installing low-flow aerators on kitchen sink faucets
•Purchasing fair trade coffee brands
•More than 25% of ABKJ employees use mass transit to commute

Hines GREEN OFFICE (HinesGO) is a voluntary, internal program created to measure and reward sustainability within all Hines offices worldwide.
